The Shriners Children’s Boston Haunted Walk takes place at the Garden at Elm Bank. This horticultural gem of Greater Boston is a perfect location for an autumn morning walk. We’re thrilled to welcome you to the 6th Annual Boston Haunted Walk!

Friendly Ghost Reminders

  • The Boston Haunted Walk is a rain-or-shine event and will not be rescheduled due to inclement weather.
  • Costumes are encouraged, and families should register for the costume contest! Please wear family-friendly costumes and avoid scary or inappropriate costumes/makeup.
  • No pets or wheels. Dogs, bikes, scooters, and sports equipment are not allowed.
  • Keep it clean. Please use the trash bins.
  • No drones. UAVs are not permitted at the Garden at Elm Bank.

Yes! Family-friendly costumes are encouraged—do not bring balloons or confetti, and no inappropriate attire please. A costume contest will be conducted after the event, with photos posted online. Voting ends and winners are announced on Halloween. Be sure to enter!

📸 Stop by our costume contest registration table the morning of the walk. Be sure to sign your photo release consent for you and your children to be entered into the contest.

🎃 On Monday, October 20, the Top 10 costumes will be posted for online voting.

🗳️ Public voting opens at BostonHauntedWalk.org.

🏆 Winners will be announced on Halloween, October 31, and will be notified by email!

As a Boston Haunted Walk Team Captain, you’ll lead the way in fundraising and team spirit! Your key roles:

  • Set a fundraising goal – We recommend $2,500 but adjust as needed!

  • Recruit team members – Invite coworkers, friends, and family to join. No team size limit!

  • Motivate your team – Share updates and help everyone surpass their goals!

  • Plan team activities – Check in, meet for walks, and kick off your team with fun events. Share photos using #BOSHauntedWalk

  • Collect offline donations – Mail checks to:
